Become a Driving Instructor with one to one training
For anyone wanting to become a driving instructor we have been running Approved Driving Instructor (A.D.I.) courses for over 30 years. We are happy to offer all our prospective clients advice and information to show you exactly what is involved in becoming a driving instructor. There is no pressure placed on you to train with us, but we feel it is important that you have a good insight into the new career you are choosing prior to commencing your training. There is no hard sell and no driving assessment at this point.
We recommend you look at driving instructor training reviews on the web before parting with large sums of money up front; you may not get a refund if things go wrong. Remember it is easy to promise the earth, so if it looks too good to be true, then it probably is. At Pelican training is then charged at £30 per hour. Most companies such as Pelican Driving Instructor Training rely on maintaining a good reputation and many of our clients are recommended by other driving instructors. Why not visit your local test centre and ask other instructors to recommend a trainer. In the case of Pelican our local test centres are Barnsley, Rotherham and Sheffield.
Driving instructor training is conducted on a one to one basis and is charged at an hourly rate. You can train around your current job on a part time basis or you can train more intensively, local accommodation is available for residential training. There is no need to pay any money in advance, just pay for training as you receive it. As all training is on a one to one basis you will receive 100% attention making our training best value for money.
The old A.D.I. part 3 examination has now changed, the main change is that there will be no role play by the examiner, instead you will have to give a real driving lesson to a driver of your choice. This can be anyone needing training, either a learner driver of a qualified driver, anyone apart from someone who has taken the A.D.I. part 2 examination. The examination period will still be one hour long.
The core competencies will be: Lesson planning, Risk management and Teaching and learning strategies.
There is a new website by the DVSA which is of particular interest to anyone wanting to become a driving instructor, there is an interactive test to see if you are cut out for the job. Visit: www.safedrivingforlife.info
