On July 14th. 2016 it was suggested that this 10 minute period should be increased to 20 minutes and the candidate could be asked to follow directions from a sat nav.
It was also proposed that the left hand reverse and turn in the road be replaced with a more realistic exercise of reversing into and driving out of a parking bay.
It is also proposed that one of the two vehicle safety questions be asked while the candidate is driving, such as using an ancillary control such as the rear screen heater.
